You can make a contribution from your IRA, but you must do so before February 1, 2013.

The troop will present 81 Merit Badge awards that have been earned, 17 Rank Advancements, and two Special Awards. The Court of Honor is scheduled for Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Read moreA local muscular therapist, Julie Donnelly, assisted local veterans by holding a class for post members. The class taught our members how to release body pain. This clinic was her idea as a fund-raising event that will benefit everyone! Non-members are asked to make a $15 donation to the Post’s 2013 American Legion Boys State Program.

Read moreIt went so fast, 2012 that is. Where did the year go? It seems that we just held a Christmas Party, but it was a year ago. We had a strong crowd, good entertainment, a silent auction, door prizes and a great meal.
Read moreOn a quiet pond just off Legion Road, area veterans gather to spend a day fishing with their comrades. Some are learning to fly fish, some are more at home with a simple rod or cane pole. It’s not the equipment that counts, it is friendship, quiet times, and a gentle breeze that makes their day.
