We adhere to American Legion National protocol, rules and regulations when wearing uniform items.

An American Legion cap is a uniform item.  It, by itself, is considered in uniform when When worn by a Legionnaire, this single uniform item puts the Legionnaire “in uniform.”

Caps should not be worn while eating.  It may or may not be worn at a funeral (per local custom) and is removed during prayer.
