We have restarted work on the post and have some new projects on tap for the winter and spring months. Our goal is to restore the appearance and function of the post. Boy Scout Troop 505 has been working on our flag plaza area, waterline, and is now working on restoring and protecting our blue bird sanctuary and tree memorials.
Read moreSome local families have donated large national flags to the post. They were found stored away and wanted to give them a new home. We will fly the flags over the post for a two or three-month period in honor of the veteran family member.
Read moreVincent T. Dodson, a 14-year member of our post, passed away on January 10, 2012. A long-time resident of Orange County, he served in the U.S. Army with the 320th Regiment, 35th Division, in Europe and received three battle stars.
