Read moreIn and Out Patients of the Durham VA Medical Center visited the Chapel Hill Post 6 for a day of fishing. The event was co-sponsored with Triangle Fly Fishers. The Fly Fishers work with the veterans and teach them the skills of fishing and making flies.

The University of North Carolina Department of Athletics and Carolina Football will honor all current and former members of the United States military on September 10th, during their game against Rutgers. This event is held in conjunction with the UNC-Chapel Hill ROTC units in the Air Force, Army and Navy programs.

Read moreLocal veterans from the Raleigh and Garner area visited the post today to fish, learn how to fish and prepare lines, and to just have fun with other veterans. Thanks to Project Healing Waters, the veterans were greeted by members of the Triangle Fly Fishers for a morning of fishing.
