Memorial Day in Chapel Hill

Memorial Day is more than a three-day weekend.  It is a commitment by our post and other Chapel Hill veterans groups to remember those who died in the service of their country.  While we are at it, we also recognize the efforts of surviving veterans to help other veterans, area youth, Boy Scouts, and our community.

We will have an open house on Monday, May 26th.  Doors open at 10 am with displays inside and outside the building.  We  will hold a memorial service at 11 am and the Village Band will hold a concert at 1 p.m.  Doors close at 3 pm.

Maple View Ice Cream and Bart’s Old North State Barbecue will be on site to provide for the needs of attendees.

Barbecue plate lunches are available with ALL PROCEEDS to the American Legion Post.  Five post members donated the money to pay for the food, Bart’s Old North State will prepare and serve the food.  We hope you support this fundraiser.

The Ladies Auxiliary will provide cold water for everyone.
