Passing of Mary “Pinky” Fuller

We are so very sorry to report the passing of a “Post Treasure,” Mary “Pinky” Ward Fuller, after an extended illness. Mary King Fuller, 76, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018.

Pinky was a delightful person with boundless energy and optimism who gave so much to the post to ensure that our veterans and their families found the Post home a welcoming place. As Post Adjutant, she would brainstorm ideas with me about what could be done to make social gatherings a “Wow!” event. With the help of her husband, Buddy, she would bring lots and lots of items to the Post to liven up the setting. At events like our Christmas Party, did you ever wonder about the fancy linen chair covers and table decorations? It was Pinky and she funded it herself. She also added lighting and much more.

It was her selfless drive to make life nicer for others and boundless optimism that struck me. She was a jewel and we shall truly miss her. Pinky and Buddy Fuller served on one of the new Post Home design committees.

A Visitation will be held Thursday evening, October 4, 2018, at Hudson Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
