Legion Fall Conference Awards Announced

The 2014 Department of North Carolina Fall Conference Awards were announced and are posted on the Department Website.  See list

Our post nominated two people for Boy Scout Scholarship awards and both were selected. They are:

• Lyle Miller, Adult Scouter National Training Scholarship of $250
• Arthur Lee Franklin, nominated for Eagle Scout for a High Adventure Scholarship of up to $1,000.

Lyle Miller was also nominated for national recognition for the Boy Scout Square Knot Award.  The American Legion approved the nomination and awarded the Boy Scout Square Knot Award to Lyle.

Awards will be presented here in Chapel Hill at an upcoming Troop 505 and Venture 505 Court of Honor.

We are very proud of the accomplishments of our scouts.
