MISSION: Help build an atmosphere in which members have fun while accomplishing the mission of the Post. Help run operations, events, and ceremonies to make meetings and events interesting and attract members to the Post and help retain members. Help produce and execute a social calendar with activities designed to engage members

HELPFUL SKILL SET:Physically capable to help move furniture to prepare for
meetings and events. Creativeness to develop programs and entertainment of interest to members.

MISSION: Help keep the sides of Route 54 clean of trash. Schedule periodic visits.
HELPFUL SKILL SET: Physically capable to walk and pick up trash.
  • Strategic Planning

MISSION: Develop recommendations to the Post Executive Committee on the future possible uses of Post property, locations, and costs for the time periods of 1 year, 3 years, and 10 years.

HELPFUL SKILL SET: Prior corporate/military planning experience. Knowledge of the American Legion mission. Have a creative nature in order to determine uses of Post 6 real estate that will best benefit current and future members.

MISSIONS:
1. Reward the most dedicated members of the Post by returning to them a small offer of gratitude in the form of a rewards program providing gifts commensurate with the amount of time and effort volunteered. 
2. Maintain the existing member perpetual Donor and the Room/Furnishing Sponshorship programs. Advertise and solicit Post, Sons of American Legion, and Auxiliary members for monetary donations.
HELPFUL SKILL SET: Desire to recognize Post, Sons of American Legion, and Auxiliary members for their generous monetary and manpower donations. Administrative ability to develop rewards and donation programs and to coordinate with vendors who supply plaques. Physical ability needed to maintain the donor plaques.
  • Memorial Brick Sales

MISSION: Lead effort to memorialize Post member family and friends through sale of memorial brick pavers placed at Post 6.

HELPFUL SKILL SET: Basic computer and internet knowledge to process forms needed for the vendor to produce bricks. Basic organizational skills to maintain ordering paperwork and follow up on purchases.

MISSION: Maintain the pond to keep it habitable for fish. Keep the pond aesthetically appealing.

HELPFUL SKILL SET: Physically capable to maintain property around the pond. Fishing knowledge.

MISSION: Maintain physical condition of the Post building and real estate.

HELPFUL SKILL SET: Physically capable to perform minor maintenance inside and outside. Plumbing/HVAC/carpentry landscaping knowledge is optional, but is a plus.

MISSION: Maintain the integrity of the kitchen by keeping it in excellent order and cleanliness. Inventory all kitchen equipment and supplies. Order and retrieve needed supplies. Organize volunteers to help cook meals, as needed, and to clean kitchen after meeting meals. Prepare food for Wednesday socials. Assist as needed to prepare food for Monthly Tuesday member meetings.

HELPFUL SKILL SET: Interest in maintaining what is likely the best kitchen in the American Legion and to minimize the need for member volunteer assistance.
