The Bedford Boys Premieres at Chapel Hill High

Chapel Hill High School senior students have completed their film, The Bedford Boys.

The movie premiere is this Wednesday, October 26th, 2011, at the Chapel Hill High School Auditorium.  Let’s show our support and attend. Showtime is 6:30 p.m.

If you recall, we sent a number of our veterans up to the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford, Virginia earlier this year.  Learn more.

This is a student project of high school students who visited the memorial on the 65th Anniversary of D-Day.  They presented a check for $1,500.  Read more about their trip.

Bill Melega, our host, was selected as the Veterans of Foreign Wars 2010 National Teacher of the Year (high school), participated in the project with the students and other teachers. All share in American military history exploration with trips to Normandy, Korea, Bedford, Washington, and Pearl Harbor.  There is no doubt about student awareness of the sacrifices of our service men and women.
