Reward the most dedicated members of the Post by returning to them a small offer of gratitude in the form of a rewards program providing gifts commensurate with the amount of time and effort volunteered. 2. Maintain the existing member perpetual Donor and the Room/Furnishing Sponshorship programs. Advertise and solicit Post, Sons of American Legion, and Auxiliary members for monetary donations. HELPFUL SKILL SET: Desire to recognize Post, Sons of American Legion, and Auxiliary members for their generous monetary and manpower donations. MISSION: Maintain the integrity of the kitchen by keeping it in excellent order and cleanliness. Inventory all kitchen equipment and supplies. Order and retrieve needed supplies. Organize volunteers to help cook meals, as needed, and to clean kitchen after meeting meals. Prepare food for Wednesday socials. Assist as needed to prepare food for Monthly Tuesday member meetings.
HELPFUL SKILL SET: Interest in maintaining what is likely the best kitchen in the American Legion and to minimize the need for member volunteer assistance. |

Mission: Supervise all matters pertaining to service to veterans in the prosecution of all just claims against the United States or state government, employment, relief, etc. Look after the welfare of all veterans of the Post and community. Report on members who are ill or have died. Bring to veteran’s attention their rights and benefits granted by law. Helpful Skill set: Desire to help veterans. Knowledge of or interest in learning the process of filing veterans disability claims. |

Mission: Coordinate with local high schools to get student volunteers to compete against their peers in a speech concerning some aspect of the U.S. Constitution, with some emphasis on the duties and obligation of citizens to our government. Post winners will advance to NC Department to compete to represent NC Department in the AL National contest. Helpful Skill Set: Desire to help young people to hone the speaking skills, especially on subjects concerning the U.S. Constitution. |
